National Account Manager

Our client, a leading consumer lifestyle manufacturer, is searching for a National Account Manager to join their team. The National Account Manager will develop strategic sales initiatives by leveraging brand portfolio to deliver sales and profit growth within Canada. They will be accountable for the long term business success for multiple retailers (Big Box, Club and Luxury/Department channels) and will create winning action plans and promotional programs. Working with both internal and external category teams you will develop annual plans and build strong relationships with buyers while providing effective strategic negotiation and go to market strategies. Full responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual action plans will be delivered for both the overall health of the categories as well as the forecasting and demand planning. Execute ROI initiatives by utilizing your category marketing expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a post secondary degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated sales success within the consumer packaged goods industry. You will have strong analytical skills and exceptional fact based selling experience, as well as expertise with bi-weekly and monthly promotional planning. A strong understanding of trade spend, and experience with full responsibility of P&L is a requirement. Your strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and most importantly external category teams is essential to this role.
